    Lightbulb New framework: Cake

If you haven't been living under a rock lately, you've heard about Ruby on Rails -- a web-programming framework for Ruby language. It's really great. I've wrote a basic framework to the likeness of Rails and you are all free to try it out, use it, extend it or whatever. It's published under a public domain licence (or: do whatever you want with it). The current version is 0.2.1 and it was released yesterday.

Here's what I wrote on hotscripts to describe it...

Contact manager like plaxo. Works like this: 1) Install script on your PHP/MySQL server. 2) Use the system by pasting all of your friends' emails and bulk mailing them an invitation to fill in their contact information. 3) Your friends come and enter their information - it is automatically saved in your contact list. Your friends can invite their friends and so on. If someone's email address is already in the system, they will not be emailed - instead their information will automatically appear in your address book. You can also download your contacts in an excel spreadsheet. All of the contact lists are private - your contacts cannot be seen by other people and vice versa.

Anyhow, you can find it here if you're interested...

    WebCMS or

WebCMS is going to be a Content Managment System or CMS, like PHP Nuke and Mambo.

We are going to make this CMS very customizable yet very easy.

It will and always will be free, so we cannot afford to pay programmers muchbut we do share donations.

If you would like to help please post on the forums in the website.
Any PHP experience is good, but we really need a template system (we will accept smarty) and someone who could write the admin backend.

    Many Thanks

Currently working on something called xFlow Framework, which will allow others to rapidly develop online systems. Written in PHP, heavily uses XML, and will also have a Windows application available to aid in development and automatically maintain an up to date library of all modules and features available. Also has a very modular design, allowing others to easily publish and sell their own modules and applications throughout the network.

For example, if I was contracted out to do a real estate property management system, or say a leads generation / management system, they would normally take me around 50 hours each. With the new framework, that amount of time would be cut down into about 20 - 30 hours.

Nothing much on it yet, except just a developer forums to discuss the technical details. And input you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated. You can signup for a free developer account at:

Whoops, sorry about that, and all fixed for you now. Just make sure you use all lowercase letters for your username. I didn't bother adding q in NCSA htaccess support in xFlow Lite (software that powers this thing), so it was a quick custom job. Made a small mistake there.

    All fixed up though.

    Arrow phpECard v2.0 released

I'd like to introduce myself and my 'work' here.

A few year ago I made a litle script for sending e-cards on my website and posted it on a php-forum just for fun. Seemed I recieved a lot of reactions about suport or other functions.

Now, I re-writed the script and set up a suport forum, also for general feedback. I like to recieve a lot of feedback and suport on new functions to let the script grow to a alround complete application.

I wonder what the idea's of you all are about getting it out and making it a succes... Maybe sourceforge?

You can find all you need to know at:

    Kind regards,

    Announcing Templation

I'm pleased to announce the release of Templation, an extremely lightweight web framework oriented towards content-driven websites.

Templation is a system I originally built 5 years ago to manage a large site filled with static content. The core concept is using your website's natural hierarchy to control its appearance. The end result is that each file in your website only contains the content to that specific page. More importantly Templation is controlled using standard HTML meta tags, and goes to great length to operate as transparently as possible, even when you have unrelated PHP code in your pages.

Currently public beta 2 is available for download from the site, with beta 3 coming very soon. The code has been in production on a large site for years, but has just been refactored and cleaned up for public GPL consumption. Development is proceeding rapidly, but the userbase is currently quite small, so now is a great chance to get in on the ground floor. At this stage I'm able to address individual feature requests and provide support on a very personal basis.

Looking for beta testers for a PHP encoder extension

    - We've recently developed a PHP extension which acts as an encoder/encryptor, so that it encrypts the PHP code to protect the intellectual property, and reloads it at the runtime using a php function defined in the extension. You may think of it as a primitive sort of IonCube or ZendEncoder.

    - It works only under Gnu/Linux for instance. We will compile it under Windows and FreeBSD closely after having finished the beta tests.
The encoder is a Gnu/Linux executable (with a php frontend) and the runtime loader is a php extension (.so file)

What do we require from beta testers?
    - Only a Gnu/Linux server with PHP>=4.0.5 and some curiousity to try to find possible bugs (and reverse-engineer the code if possible!)

What do we promise to beta testers?
    - A lifetime single-user license for the final product.
    - A beta version of the documentation (not complete yet)
    - Technical support for install process and use.

    Please contact us at
