want to pass encrypted password

hi,
i want to pass passwords from one page to another through hyperlinks. As they pass through querrystring they are visible.
i want to use encryption and decryption.
but i do'nt know how.
please help me.

You don't have to pass the authentication information from page to page, just store it in a temporary cookie using php's md5 encryption.

i am authenticating the logins through phplib.
once my username and paswords are authenticated ,i want these on further pages.i am doing this through hyperlinks.

so when i pass these variables by hyperlinks
they should be encrypted and then i want to decrypt it for further use
