What I Need :)

I need a sort of news poster........

Like clicking on Login (which would show Logout if (isset($login))) and login will goto login.php3 and logout would goto logout.php3 or any other way to log them out

i need login.php3 to have a form to login with a username and a password, after wards, it goes to post.php3 (which i might replace with a slide-in menu)

and in the post.php3 it has two feilds one for posting (like this message box) and another for subject and it posts to welcome.php3, and i need variables to be:
$name - their name that their $login is set
to..
$date - to show like June 29th, 2000
$time - to show like 12:28 PM
$post - what they posted
$subject - the subject

i plan to have it come to welcome.php3 as a table..

like:

Hmm,

I'm not sure if this is what you want, bit I have something I've put together for a PHP class I am teaching.

The page is at http://www.deltav.org/~phpclass. Click the "Discussion" board link. It will ask for a username and password. You can use demo / demo. There you will be able to use the bulletin-type board.

If this is what you need, I'll give you the code for it. It's not complete, but it does work so far.

no, i need something that posts the message to a php3... not a private board (basically, you can read, but login is required to post)
