Does PHP support JPEG creation & manipulation

Hi,

I'd like to know if PHP 3 or 4 supports any JPEG image creation and manipulation. I'm aware of GIF manipulation using the GD lib. The GD 1.8.3 supports PNG and JPEG image handling. So does PHP support it as well ?

Yes,

PHP allows you to manipulate JPEG images if you have compiled it with GD support. GIF support doesn't work if you have newer version of GD due to the copyright issues...
