hi
when i passed the hidden data from one page to anothert using

echo "< a href=mailretr.php3?username=$username&pass=$password>";

this echos the username and password in the address bar... i don't want the username and password to be seen by others... what i have to do.. plz. help me.

why dont you use FORM?
e.g.
<FORM ACTION="mailretr.php3" METHOD="POST">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="username" VALUE="$username">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="passowrd" VALUE="$password">
and then Submit button.

this will ensure that its using POST method, and so you will not be able to see the data on the URL. the data is only visible on the URL if you are using GET method.
