Which program should I use for email reply forms?

I've set up a simple e-mail response form on my website. Everything is in order except for the program which will send the e-mail itself. I've tried the various PHP DLLs (I'm running Apache 1.3.9 on Win98 SP1), nsmail.exe (NS Messanger), as well as some freeware apps which were technically designed for CGI. I was pretty desperate.
If there is a PHP distro file, which one should I be using? Are there any 3rd party applications I should be running as well/instead which would make this work?

I never gotr around to seeing if it would work but do a search at google.com for imate. Its an smtp server for windows. This should work and I had it set up on my system for relaying emials, but I never got around to trying it with php.

See the mail() function in the PHP. All you need to do is specify the smtp of your ISP in php.ini.
