unlink and new release of PHP4

Has anyone had any problems with the unlink() function and NT with the latest release of PHP4. I am getting this error:
Warning: unlink() is not supported in this PHP build

I've got the same problem.I'm "forced" o work with PHP 4.0.0 nly because of this oe certain bug. I can't give up using unlink.
Who could help us?

Yes this bug has already beed reported in bugs.php.net

Anyway,try this distribution (just pick up the latest). this is the best on the net for win32.

supports unlink but not images (png)

I have downloaded as you told me php4-latest.tar.gz
well, have you looked in the file "FUNCTION_LIST.txt"?
It says "Functions marked with 'u' do not work, or may not work correctly under windows."!!!
One of the functions markd with an "u" is stll "unlink".

I don't get!!! Why are Windows users damned not to delete files anymore? :-(((

this distribution works for me!!
I have not tested under apache.
I use php as ISAPI and I have no problem at all.
The only problem I have is with png (forget fig) image creation.

but you can post a message to anderas otto (from url I gave you) and describe your problem.

unlink also works with the distribution from phpuser.com/download/ but its too old.
