checkbox problem

It seems that I can not get the value of a CHECKBOX. Please help me. The following is the code:

It should work fine unless you are using php4.......then you use $HTTP_POST_VARS[sss] are you getting any errors?......or are you using php4?

Your code is okay, make sure that track_vars is turned on in your php.ini or use $HTTP_POST_VARS["sss"] instead of $sss etc.

In php.ini, "track_vars=on" is set.

It's no bug.....it's just the way it's been done so you can choose between which variables to want to use.

ie:
$HTTP_POST_VARS
$HHTP_GET_VARS
$HTTP_COOKIE_VARS

etc....

There should be two .ini files included with php4.....one of them explains how to make use of this new feature.

I am sorry to tell you that it doesn't work for me even if I used $HTTP_POST_VARS["sss"]. I can not get anything from the array. By the way I didn't find another .ini file in my php directory.(All files were extracted from original .zip file)

There will be one php.ini-dist and one php.ini-optimized, which says:

I'm not using php4 so I'm afraid I can't be much help...but I have given it a go with much success so it does work....I guess it just takes some configuring to your beeds.

I'll try again. The problem that I can use any other elements of a form but CHECKBOX makes me confused. I can get values of others but CHECKBOX. However I should give you my appreciation from my heart.(poor English!)

Well...
I'm not really sure I understand what's going on.. but I do know that with checkboxes, it's not like there is always a variable and the value is either true/false. If a checkbox is not check, then the variable doesn't exist, so you really need to test if it exists via the isset() command... if it's set then it's true, if it's not set then it's false...

I hope this helps a little....

and i want the user to be selected atleast one.if he doesnt select he should be in that page only...please help me...

<INPUT TYPE="checkbox" NAME="kosmetyki01" VALUE="1" SIZE COLUMS="2" MULTIPLES ID="1">
and now... how I can get a value of check of this box?
