Updating Cookie

To all cookie experts: I need your help!

How can I udpate an existing cookie value?

i.e.
setcookie("a","first value",time()+180000);

is my first created cookie. How can I replace "first value" with a new value?

You simply call setcookie() once more with the new value...
i.e.
setcookie("a", "first value", time()+180000);
setcookie("a", "new value");

That's strange. Yesterday before seeking any help through this site, I've tried everything to solve this cookie update problem of mine. Actually I've already done the one you're telling me to do but it didn't work!

When I tried it again this morning, it seems that heaven's door was opened for me. It worked just fine.
