can not run php3 files

I can not make my php3 files run with Apache on my computer.
Apache server is running but the i can not run the php3 files by writing
http://localhost/something.php3 in the browser.

you need to install PHP too. and also configure the httpd.conf file of your apache server.

get the PHP from http://www.php.net

i have installed php in c:\php3 directory and configured the httpd.conf file as
given in the documentation
ScriptAlias /php3/ "c:/php3/"
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .phtml
Action application/x-httpd-php3 "/php3/php.exe"

have you also followed the instructions of php.ini file? you need to configure that too, and place it in c:\windows and also you need to copy one php4ts.dll to your c:\windows\system folder.

i have read the manual and accordingly i have made the changes in php3.ini and copied it to my windows folder, but i did not get any php4ts.dll when i downloaded and installed 'php-3.0.16-win32.zip'
