Oracle tables -> PHP Tree?

Here's a good one...
I need to dynamically populate a tree that will allow users to select a Project from one table, it's systems from another and their sub-systems from another. The tree must be collapsed upon initial display (displaying only 'Projects'), then upon drill-down, the tree should expand like the MS Explorer interface.
I saw an 'Information Tree' snippet on this site, but when I download it I get what appears to be a language- or foreign-alphabet-filtered version that is unreadable.
Any Ideas?

This will probably require Javascript or an applet to create the tree structure using PHP to dynamically populate the nodes.

There are plenty of free examples available out there.

I have been looking for a javascript or DHTML solution for rendering a tree and node based tree and have not found something viable.

Please send me information on a particular software that works. I hate running recursive queries to generate the tree!

Hi,
I was able to write a PHP/Oracle tree generator that dynamically populates each node when clicked.
Unfortunately I was pulled away to do other things before I could refine the code to a donateable state.
I will post my solution here when I get back to it. If desparate, email me for the raw .php code.
Also, Oracle (and maybe other db's) provides for recursive queries that can occur in one call. I have not had the pleasure of implementing anything using this capability, so don't know how to populate a tree with the returned data, but it should be doable.
Search for 'Hierarchical Queries' (or START WITH, CONNECT BY, PRIOR) on your dbms's site.

Barry, was wondering if you could email me a copy of your tree class?

I have been searching high and low, for a high-performance solution. I have been unable to solve this problems in the current script I am using (which is 50% mine/50% from tfromm.com (thomas fromm )

My difficulty is that I would like to load up to 1000 items in the explorer style nav, and this get pretty unweildy for most of the script I have seen.

Hoping yours has some clues. Anybody else perhaps know of a solution?
