send email through database entry

I am a newbie to this and am getting lost. I have a database (mysql) called carsale in that I have a table called owner, with a unique id and row 13 is the email field.

What I want to be able to do is display a link (click here to relpy to car owner) and a form pops up. The details are filled out and the form queries the database finds the email address and sends an email. This ensures no one sees the persons email address thus no spamming. I hope this makes sense.

If you are familiar with querying databases, this should be fairly easy. You would just need to get the id number to the popup window and then query your db and use an html form with the values from the db printed into the form using something like this for each element.
<input type="text" name="name" value="<?php print $myrow["name"]; ?>">

Then post the form to itself and use the mail() function to send the email out. Let me know if you need more help I could probably whip something up
