generating transparent PNG's troubles

Hi, I have a script that generates transparent png's using the gd library... the png's look fine and transparent in ie, but show white where it should be transparent if viewed in netscape?

Is this a gd problem, a netscape problem, a png problem, or (as most often the case) my code's problem??

I think that Netscape can\'t properly handle transparent PNG.
