deleting files with ulink()

I've seen messages from other PHP coders saying that they seem to have problems with the ulink function.

I've tried to use this in directories where the permissions are correct and I get the same error:

Warning: Unlink failed (No such file or directory) in /usr/local/sites/blah/htdocs/admin/file_delete.phtml on line 22

The path is correct and the premissions are 0777.

Anyone else have this problem?

I was only having problems with latest relaesae of PHP4, but your error sounds like you are not chdir to the correct dir before trying to unlink a file

is it possible to use this command to delete a file using variables as the file name?as in:

unlink ($Band $showyear-$showmonth-$showday.txt);
