Post File Upload Copy Problem

Interactive form upload problem.
When trying to copy the file from the temp directory on the server I get the following error...

"Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 575 is not allowed to access /tmp/phpjPlrFv owned by uid 0"

So the file is being uploaded to the server but it appears I do not have the access to copy out of the temp upload directory to a directory where I can access it.
Can anyone help?
