Translate my Python code to PHP

In Python I write something like this:
text = '<a href="%s" title="%s">%s</a>'%(mylocation,mytitle,mytext)

How do I do the same thing in PHP?
I know that printf() can be used, but that is more for formatting, isn't it?

You can do this:

$text="<a href='$mylocation' title='$mytitle'>$mytext</a>";

Which works fine for scalar variables and arrays. If you are using object properties you'll have to close the quotes and concat the string:

$text="<a href='".$my->location."' title='".$my->title."'>".$my->text."</a>";

You think this:

text = '<a href="%s" title="%s">%s</a>'%(mylocation,mytitle,mytext)

is clearer than this:

$text="<a href='$mylocation' title='$mytitle'>$mytext</a>";

???

Try:

$text =sprintf("<a href='%s' title='%s'>%s</a>",$mylocation,$mytitle,$mytext);

Hence assuming that:
$text =sprintf('<a href="%s" title="%s">%s</a>',$mylocation,$mytitle,$mytext);

...works as well.
