editable combo box

I currently have a PHP generated form consisting of many edit boxes and list boxes.

I need to convert some of the list boxes to "editable combo boxes" (pull-down lists with editable text box).

(A custom object in a pop-up window won't help here, I need PHP to be able to fill many of these editable list boxes per form).

Anyone have a good source.
