WAP and PHP

Hi,

I'm trying to create a WML version of my site in order to allow wap access... My question is: how do I use Php and wml in the same script?!

I've tried doing just like with html but it doesn't work... I guess that's because wml is something like xml... But HOW do I overcome this?!

Let me get this straight.

We still use a .php3 or .php4 file name for the home page.
Visitors use the same URL for both WAP and browsers and the php script then redirects them to the appropriate page.

Just put the correct headers and it will show up fine in your WAP device.

Which headers? I've tried whit the one in the BiF code but dont work. In my Cell it show "unknow file content"

Maybe the problem is not in the headers but in the body of your cards.
Some Cell's browsers, specially the one's distributed in Latin America (samsung,Qualcomm), can't handle the &, so if you are trying to get some special chars as &aacute you'll get an error. Same will happen if you try to send parameters to a link using mypage.php?var1=test&var2=test <-- This won't work in some cell phones, althought in every emulator available on the web will work and parse without problem.

So, how do you send multiple parameters to a PHP script ?

I am using a Nokia 7110e, and the site works fine until I try pass the PHP script multiple parameters, I have tried on a couple of emulators too and they have the same problem.

Dear Alejandro,

Which Nokia phone (or any other brand) works best with WAP?

Is there any literature available (published) about the step by step process to implement WAP with PHP4? I am a novice with PHP4, MySQL and Apache but have put a test database together before on the web.

Are you aware that Nokia has a venture cap fund?
