Divide record

if the search results from database is 100,
i want to divide it to 10 pages with each pages 10 records. and then at the bottom of the web page will show

1, 2 , 3 , 4, 5 , 6 , 8, 9 ,10

each numbers is hiperlink which search for next 10 records..

how could i do that , can anybody show me the code ?? or somewhere got tutorial on it?

This isn't as hard as you might think
all you have to do is:

$offset = 0;
$limit = 10;

$query = "SELECT * FROM whatever LIMIT $offset,$limit";

You results will begin at $offset and there will only be $limit results returned.

For each page increase the offset by 10

e.g. $offset = $offset + 10;
