The problem with something like this is knowing whereabouts on a webpage the headlines are kept.
You can use funstions like fopen() which will go get urls for you, but then you have to sift through all the code to find what you want.
That may be fine if the site that you want to access always has headlines in the same place like;
<!--headline one here--->
<p><font face...>Blah Blah</font></p>
Then you can just search for that first tag....but I don't think websites are coded that intellingently for us to be able to rely on them.
I am also looking for a way to do this and the best that I am able to come up with yet...is to rig up a small database and manually add articles....which of course is a pain in the ass.
I do remember Tim (from phpbuilder) mentioning something about a feed from a website.....RSS?...or NSS?...or something like that.....have a search for "news" and you should find it.
I'm keen to see if it can be done also.
