Forcing number of decimal places.

Ok this is pretty lame but I just can't seem to find a simple way to do this. (I have a VERY clunky way right now).

I am making numeric calculations withing a shopping cart program. When I display results any of the calculated currencies don't carry the decimal format of the original value. eg 4 $1.00 items come out as $4 not $4.00. How can I force number of decimal places on a resulting variable?

Check out the "BC Math" functions in the PHP manual. They allow you to specify a scale, which is the number of integers after the decimal point.

bcdiv() would be one of those functions.

Will force two decimla placesonto your variable
