Professional Paging of results...

Hi there!

Actually I have a resultpaging of my mysql_db which shows st like this:

[first page] [previous page] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 [next page] [last page]

but the problem is, that there are often many results an this navigationline doesnt fit in one line...

I have seen some searchengines which do it like this:

[first page] [previous page] 6 7 8 9 10 -11- 12 13 14 15 16 [next page] [last page]

does anyone know how to do this!?

erm, just track the current pagenumber (should be easy to do, use cookies or var by url), and then print (echo) the numbers you want to be shown

like if $counter = 7
do something like
for ($i = $counter - 3, $i < $counter+3, $i++) {
echo $i ;
}

simple as that...

Hello, I will go and modify my paging system at http://www.clantg.net to fit your needs, maybe I will learn something on the way =P. The reason I am doing this is because I like that layout.
