Efficient HTML Templates???

Many of you know that Perl offers an efficient way of including HTML in a template. For example:

$user = "incognit";
print <<"EOF";


<HEAD>
<TILE>$user\'s Template</TITLE>
</HEAD>

EOF

Does PHP offer something similar?

print("\n");
print("<HEAD>\n");
print("<TITLE>$user\'s Template\n");
print("<HEAD>\n");

...this gets old quick.

I discoverd EasyTemplate.inc.php in Ratschiller and Gerken's new book, "Web Applicatoin Developmnet with PHP 4.0"

...this will suit my needs, and it is faster than FastTemplate in replacing scalar tags with string values.

Also take a look at:

$str = <<<ENDLINE

what
ever
$your
<font color=red>heart</font>
desires
== \$1,000,000,000.00

ENDLINE;

$your will be replaced by the value of $your, but you have to remember to escape dollar signs.

OK. Somebody needs to fix their forum filters, otherwise people might go crazy and type

whenever they're trying to help people out.

the above was supposed to be '[font color=red]' around the 'heart', as well as only a single 'slash' in front of the dollar sign.
