Hi,

I'm writing a PHP script that displays a .jpg randomly (there are a lot of .jpg to be displayed) and send an URL if someone clicks on it.

You could say: "Easy!" ... Wait! ;-)
The problem: I can't use <? include("picture.php3"); ?> with picture.php3 sending the IMG tag and HREF correct because these pictures have to be displayed on a site WITHOUT PHP SUPPORT.

So I'm writing 2 scripts: "pic.php3" and "click.php3" that should stay on a PHP-supported-server. In the "stupid" site I'll put IMG TAG "pic.php3" and this correctly works, displaying pictures.
The problem is "click.php3": HOW CAN I KNOW WHICH PIC IS BEEN CLICKED ??!! So I can't send the corect URL! I'm thinking to write the IP of everyone who see a picture and after, if someone click, check his IP to see which picture he've clicked on.

Please, help me ! ;-)

Example :
name.jpg time

1.jpg 8:02

2.jpg 8:04
3.jpg 8:06
4.jpg 8:08
5.jpg 8:10

at 8:11 click ... which one ?!

Hi,

You have maybe at least 3 solutions:

1. use $HTTP_REFERER to get the URL that you just clicked
2. in your tag put something like that:
   <A HREF="http://www.blabla.com" ONCLICK="clickscount.php?image=1" TARGET="_top"><IMG SRC="image1.gif"></A>
   3.use phpAds, a PHP banner manegement system written by Tobias Ratschiller
   (http://www.phpwizard.net/phpAds) who support also a "remote" method
