hi everyone,

 firstly thanx to phpbuilder and everyone who helped me to solve my earlier problem.

 right now i am stucked in a problem regarding an development of an system through which user can register themselves, the data is then stored into database.

the user can login later and change its profile details. now the problem arises here how do i determine which user has logged in, in case there are 2 user who logs in from same computer.

isit possible to do by cookies, if yes, how do i do it?

if anyone knows it please help ma as it is urgent for me!!!

Hi Piyush,

it is possible, but you will have to make your users clear, that they definitly have to log out. If two users will work from the same computer, they have to do it after another and not to the same time. So if one user is finished he has to log out. If he doesn't do it, he will stay logged in until the cookie's time is up and the other user is logged in under the name of the former user. But if he logged out, any other user can log in and there is no problem. If you want to have definite scripting help feel free to ask me,

when ever u store the information about the registration of the user in the database.
u should have a UNIQUE USER_ID for each distict user and this field should be autoincrement .. You can easily trap any user and retrive any information u stored bout him from the table from this unique user_id.
