JPEG / GIF Integrity?

I was wondering if it was somehow possible to verify that an uploaded image was infact and image and that it was intact. I need to be able to tell the difference between a JPEG and a GIF and then check to make sure that it was uploaded correctly.

You can use the GetImageSize function to tell what type the image is. If it the size is not returned, then you know its not an image.
