Exist sme order,command or script that can detect if one webpage is running or not
I have to detect if , for example.. one remote web page (http://www.mywebpage.com) is running or not , take the status in a variable or execute some commands

what do you mean by running?
when I say running i am talking about of one web site working.. it's mean the httpd protocol (port 80) is up..
i need detect this.. if one website (external) is working.. is active.. if I can charge with my browser or not...
