Uploading and parsing a file

I trying to write a script which will allow a user to upload a text file and then parse the text file to display it formatted on the screen. I don't know how to go about it though. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

uploading a file is easy using a form (input box of type file).

you can then save that file to the server (a lot of information can be found on uploading files and saving them).

opening this file can be done with fopen().
parsing it is fairly easy afterwards.
