Uploading and parsing a file

I trying to write a script which will allow a user to upload a text file and then parse the text file to display it formatted on the screen. I don't know how to go about it though. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Um... the php manual?

It has a chapter about uploading files,
it has a chapter about reading files,
and it has a chapter about working with strings.

They did not write it just for fun.... 🙂
