Postscript or alternative

I want to put information from my web site on paper, and it will include images, text and lines. I want precise control over the placement and size of the results.

Do you know if there is a Postscript module (like the GD module) for PHP, such as there is for Perl? Is there another way to achieve the results?

The printer is connected to the server. So it's a matter of generating the proper form of output to drive an HP LaserJet.

Running on Linux, so can use the technique of shelling to lpr, as mentioned elsewhere in the forum.

I am still looking for the same thing. So far looks like the option would be creating a pdf output but the output will be within the client printer instead of the server printer.

Maybe perl/pscript/Latex could be the way to go but I really want to know if someone else have doing this because I dont want to spent a lot o time learning perl or latex/pscript and die on the beach.
