Cannot open remote page with fopen

Hi, I know you can open local or remote files/pages with fopen, but in the case where I try to do it from a Shoutcast server it fails.

This is the address: http://shout.acid.net

The script I have works for any normal file or webpage. The fact that the above link is generated by a Shoutcast server, not a standard webserver, is screwing it up. Although it's fine when viewd in browser.

Please help, this is driving me nuts!

Figured I'd give it a shot for you...

(I've done over 100 Grab Scripts for different people... even got a tutorial on it at: http://www.4cm.com/ )....

But, I gotta admit... this one has me stumped too...

Here is what I used... and I know this is the right code... it just isn't working...

Now, the 'apparent' URL is:
http://shout.acid.net/index.html

And, while it contains the information, and that info is being piped via a perl script (I think)... it just doesn't make any sense why it won't grab the info... <big-sigh>...

Well... hm..... you know.. I found a neat like "llama cookie" that was there... <hehe>

Now I got a reply from Tom P. the Shoutcast developer, fopen won't work.

Here's his example of XML parser and where he uses fsockopen with correct agent info to get it to work. http://beta.shoutcast.com/~tpepper/grabxml.phps

turns out the Shoutcast DNAS thinks it's a listener trying to connect if it's just using fopen.
