PHP and SOAP

Anyone that have developed a class for using PHP to communicate throught SOAP?? There is classes and libraries already developed for Java, Perl and Python but PHP seems to lack in this field.

Just want to ask before I start developing my own SOAP class in PHP... don't want to invent the wheel twice.

Im currently working on a php-soap client and a php-soap server. These are currently under development. They are being written as php extensions not written in php itself (well part of the serever is php). I will post some more info when i get closer to releasing a beta release

I am interested in learning, how to create PHP extension. Could you show me some links where I could read up.

Tried searching the net and only found one tutorial on how to create PHP3 extension.

As for my PHP Soap, I have already created the server and client in PHP. There are still a lot of limitation but able to handle basic functionality based of Soap Spec 1.1

Would it be possible to see your PHP Soap client/server? Do you plan to GPL it? I've wanted to work on one but just don't have the time to do it. I'm more of an analyst than a developer. However, I would like to help where I can (documentation, examples, etc.)

Yes, I can. Most of the coding is based on Edd Dumbill's XML-RPC for PHP. Thanks.

FYI, there's a lot of function which is in the SOAP Specification have not been taken care of.

Eg. Enum and some array declaration, by reference stuffs.

I am not sure whether I am following the spec, but I am able to use PocketSoap, ROPE to call my object.
