Some "echo" problems ..

I need help to do a " .. inside an echo.

example:

echo "<input type=text value="Insert text here">";

that will create an error, i want to know how to make a " inside my echo.

anybody ? 🙂

I can recommend you a better method.

Use ' instad of ". You are then allowed to use " with the string without using slashes.

echo '<input type=text value="Insert text here">';

it's more readable, certainly.

it's a good idea to have some kind of consistent scheme; i use single quotes for html attributes (eg <a name='bob'> ) and in sql statements (eg "where author like 'bob' ").

this falls down if you nest the quotes more than two deep, of course (say you're echoing an html tage with a javascript function call in it) but i find it very helpful.
