Zips

Took a look over the zlib libraries for PHP, and wasn't too happy. I may be wrong, but it doesn't really seem to provide what I'm looking for.

What I need, whether it's free or otherwise (I don't mind paying), is a simple chunk of code that can:

i) Read in a Zip file.
ii) Tell me how many files it contains
iii) Extract any one or number of those files

Is there something out there (freeware or otherwise) which does this? Or does zlib do this and I'm just missing the point? 🙂

Zlib uses Gzip, not PKzip.

Gzip does not allow you to add multiple files.
Hence, there are no functions to check how many files there are in the gzip file.
