how much of inc files to use

Hi,

All the pages on a site i am developing use a template of sorts with a common top portion, a left navigation panel and a footer. The remaining portion of the page is dynamic. For easier maintainance, i have put all common protions (top, left and footer) into inc files and all my pages call those inc files. I am wondering that since all the 150 pages in my site call the same files over and over again, does it affect the overall performance of the site. Will it be better, if i actually write the same html code for the top, left and footer in each page.

Well I used the same methood of several of my sites and I havn't notice any major drop in speed, then again file caching probably helps that a little. 🙂
