Strip tags and javascript ?

Hi,

I am trying to write a gizmo that will store the contents of a web site into a database as pure ascii; strip tags does a lot, but it leaves nasty javascript lingering in the back ground ( on a PHP version 3 system at least).

Is this behaviour changed later in PHP ?

If not, any ideas how to strip out javascript etc ?

you could do

preg_replace("/<script.?</script[ ]>/i","",$file)

first, and then strip tags. it would be a good idea to do the same with <sytle> too.

doesn't look like its working 🙁
i'm making :

$msg_txt = preg_replace("/<script.?</script[ ]>/i","",$msg_txt);

adn it doesn't stip javascript out 🙁
