Socket programming with PHP/Perl

If anyone is interested, I have a PHP wrapper for a Perl socket-functions library I've developed. The wrapper allows for basic socket programming in PHP - nothing really fancy, but I'm still working on it.

If anyone's interested in it, let me know and I'll post it here.

PHP already provides socket functions, why would it need a wrapper? Or are you talking about a set of functions to make the transition from perl to php easier?

That's the purpose, yes. The wrapper mimics the use of IO::Socket and IO::Socket::INET

I would like to try it. I have been trying to use sockets for awhile. Please post it with an example. Or you can email it to me.

I'd like to give your PHP/Perl socket wrapper a try too. Working on a web app to submit forms to several servers at once but, it has to be seamless to the end user. Any help is definately welcome.

I want to try writing a socket to handle information to/from a flash5 object, using XMLsockets. Think of the possibilities!

All I know is that I have to use Socket to establish connection. But for some reason my server is not identifying the function create_Socket()
