en-/disable input fields with js?

hello, it's me again 🙂

i've another question, it's rather JS related, not really PHP, but I hope i'm not completely wrong here, as there are many great web developers reading and posting here.

description of the problem:

when the user enters the site, he has the possibility to say wheter he wants to enable or disable annulation. when he wants to enable annulation, he has to check a radio-button, and then the input fields should become active, if he doesn't want to enable annulation, the input fields are disabled eg. he can't enter any data into them.

I've been searching through the whole JS reference guide, but have nowhere found something that could help me, so i'm asking here if anyone can help me..
is this possible at all?

i've found the solution to my prob now:
(stripped the code to only show the important parts)
