Ok. I'm having fun with files. Wheee. Light years behind most of you, but thus far it's been a fun learning experience.
I've got something I want to do, but I don't know how to go about it. Not even sure how to start. I know how to write TO a file, and add a word to the end of a single line. But I don't know how to read in that line and remove a word from anywhere in it. And I'm looking for some friendly sage out there to supply me with example code that will make me go "Ohhh! How could I have been so stupid!" and realize what fundemental part of this I am just not getting.
Example. File.txt has
blah1 blah2 blah3 blah4
on a single line.
I want to go to a form, enter in blah3 in a text window and then have the script open file.txt, remove blah3 as specified by the form, and put the rest back in the order of
blah1 blah2 blah4
in File.txt
Am I making any sense here?
Anyone got a sample snippet of code I can look at to help figure out how I do this?
