ImageCreateFromGif Not Supported!!!!

Hi, I am on a server with php 4 and gd version 1.62

i am wondering if there is anyway way to resise an image without imagecreatfromgif?

Read the manual, you can do the same with PNG

Can you upload a gif and use imagecreatefrompng()??? will it work?

I have just be reading about this function and am not too sure on one thing which i think can be quite easily answered

for function imagecreatefrompng, does the file being uploaded need to be in png format or can it be a jpg or gif?

All GIF support has been removed from GD, so I guess you'd need to upload JPG or NPG, not GIF.

There are converter programs readily available on the internet that will convert GIF to JPG for you.
You could try using EXEC() to call a convertion program to convert your uploaded GIF to JPG and use ImageJPG to open it.
