How to Format ?

Hi can anyone help me.Basically im building a shopping cart application.
When i multiply the quantity and price to get the total price
Eg. 5 * 50.00 i get 250 ,but i want 250.00. ie rounded to 2 deciaml places..how to do this?

printf("%5.2f", $totalPrice );
