Talking to a SSL server with PHP

Hey guys,

I am trying to have my php script on somehost.com get and post information to a form on secure.otherhost.com. I have had no luck at all. Does anyone have a solution or idea if it is possible to do?

PHP doesn't support opening SSL connections.

There was an article here a while back about using cURL from
within PHP to access secure servers. While the method described
works fine with non-ssl sites, I have been unable to actually compile
cURL to include SSL support--and this on a machine where I already
have OpenSSL and Apache SSL working fine. :-(

Anybody here who has actually done this?
