Hi, I had this problem with a client.Problem is that html is for screen and as such fonts are all relative to user settings or browser/platform. eg. a 12pt font (set using CSS) is not the same on a mac and a pc. I got around the problem because I was lucky enough that I could turn everything into images, so aslong as it fitted on a page when printed at 150dpi i knew it would at higher ones.
Not ideal of course. Since then I found out that you can define the media type in CSS - i havent pursued it, but provided the browser is properly CSS complient (har har) it should come out okay.
Take a look at http://www.w3.org/TR/1998/REC-CSS2-19980512/
and more specifically,

Best of luck!

Hi,
anyone got any bright ideas for paginating HTML output from PHP, to prepare a long-ish for printing? Ideally I want to to nice page breaks when printed.
I could convert to PDF on the fly, but my host doesn't seem to have PDF support compiled in to PHP4. Does anyone have any other ideas?
TIA, Paul
