Strange error-warning

Hallo,
trying to execute a cgi using file in my system works fine, but when I tried it on-line I had the following error:

File("http://localhost/cgi-bin/mycgi.cgi?term=administration&definition&Submit=Submit")
- Transport endpoint is not connected in /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/php3_solution.php3 on line 11

What is the "transport endpoint is not connected"?

Any Ideas?

Of the sites I checked, it looks as if the connection to the file did not work. Did you check the return value of fopen() to make sure it was successful?
