Determining user's country.

Is there any way to use PHP 4.0.2 determine which country a user is accessing the site from?

I have asked and found no answer. An example of a tool that knows / figures this information out is here (requires java to use) :

It tells me you are from United Kindom, even with a nice little map from me to you. Figuring out a way for PHP to figure such information I do not know but if you are anyone finds out and creates such a function, please let me know !

i guess i found the way how to determine users country

function IpToCountry()
{
return $ippieces[count($ippieces = explode('.', gethostbyaddr(getenv("REMOTE_ADDR")))) - 1];
}

echo(IpToCountry());

result is the two char country code. (take a look at the following link)
