session_destroy

I'm using sessions in my php-shop.

After the lifetime of the session is done, I want the variables of the session to be reset.

I found session_destroy(),
but unset($sessionvariabele) is also to unset the variabels of the session.

Does session_destroy work good (is it reliable??), or is it better to use unset??

Well, I really have no idea what is the better way.

session_destroy resets all session data, the unset only resets the specified variable, thats the difference...

for me session_destroy worked great (put it in for test, forgotten about it and nearly got mad till i found it again :-)

I guesse I'll just use session_destroy.
(it also takes less time to write if u use lots of variables)

For my own part I wouldn't use session destroy, as in my experience it is rather unreliable. To properly terminate my sessions I ended up writing a function rather brutally named session_murder() that session_unregister()s all session data before calling session_destroy.
