Best way to do this Pt. 2

Hi folks...I have another "Best way to do this..." question.

I have a website (http://128.146.67.169/geology/faculty.html)

on the right side of the pretty colored table, I am going to add another colum of table cells that contain the URL to the persons website. Every URL will have the same root IP, however, this IP might change, and I really don't want to have to go through all 40 or so entries, and change each one.

So, I was thinking of using a little tiny include file that just contains the root IP (128.146.67.169). That way, if it changes, I just have to change that one file...

What do you think? Is there a better way?

Why even specify the ip address at all? If the webpages are on the same server can you make your urls relative to the document root or to the current folder. For example rather then using "http://128.146.67.169/geology/" try using "/geology/" in your HREFs. Works great when moving to a diffent server/ip/dns etc.

However if the webpages are on a different server then you'll probably need to use that include file you were talking about.
