Replacing ? with something

Hi all

I'm trying to use the eregi_replace function with the character "?"

e.g.

$text = eregi_replace ("index.php3?section=club","/club/", $text);

However what's happening is that the index.php3 is being replaced by /club/ but the ? is still there

So i end up having "?/club/"

Anyone know how to successfully replace a "?"

Try escaping the question mark:

"index.php3\?section=club","/club/", $text

You need to read up on regular expressions. On a Linux or Unix system, type "man 7 regex" at a system prompt. The question mark, like a number of other characters, has a special meaning in the context of a regular expression.
