I have a txt file in directory that I would like to download via websites.
What are different ways of doing that?

Are you asking how to allow others download a text file from your server?

I meant that i have a order.txt file in directory and i want people that get to the site to be able to download it to their hd. They would get like a popup window saying save as....
Why go through all the trouble of using php? When i think you are trying to do would could be done just linking to it and having someone right-click and select 'Save Target As...' .
