help! about ftp_connect()

hello,
my code is :

$ftp_host='192.168.0.1';
$connect=ftp_connect($ftp_host);

but error:

Callto undefined function :ftp_connect()

what wrong with my coding?

Can it be a too old PHP version.
From the manual:
(PHP3 >= 3.0.13, PHP4 >= 4.0b4)

my PHP version is 4.0.2

You do have PHP above 3.0.13, but PHP 4.0b4, can't that be seen as PHP 4.0.4??
Can you try to remake/reinstall PHP?

Do you use colocoding? Just so that you can see that you have spellt it correctly?

I copied the text from your first thread and made a search on that in my manual, so that was spellt correctly, but what about inside your code?

If you are on a windows system, you need to
enable the ftp-dll. Just uncommnent the line
"extension=php_ftp.dll" in the php.ini file
This php_ftp.dll is present with the binary.

In case you are on unix, you may have to
recompile with -enable-ftp or something like
that.
